In July 2012 the Visit East Timor project started.
In order to gather all the information that was spread over the internet — along with all the information that was missing about tourism in East Timor — a group of passionate volunteers started this website.
Seven Years of Timor Tourism Online
Since then, several sites about Timor have appeared, and several have disappeared — both private websites and government sites. During these 7 years we have seen many initiatives come and go, and we continue here as the number one tourism site dedicated to East Timor.
We are immensely proud of this small team of volunteers who every day works to bring more and more information about this amazing destination to travellers around the world.
