About MAF in Timor-Leste
Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) connects Ataúro Island to the mainland with regular light plane services. Flights depart from Dili airport and land at the Ataúro airstrip, located midway between Beloi and Vila.
Flight Schedule
- Route: Dili Airport → Ataúro Airstrip (and return)
- Outbound: Friday evenings
- Return: Monday mornings
- Flight duration: 15–20 minutes
Fares & Booking
- Price: $75 each way
- A portion of every fare goes directly to ATKOMA, the local Ataúro tourism organisation
- Booking requirement: Flights can only be booked if you are staying on the island
